COVID Diary-Day7
Today’s the last day at hospital room. I’d embraced last moment at took a last shot of photo to say goodbye to the room I’d been staying for the past week. Goodbye 808.
The doctor called me in the morning to ask my general well being as always. She asked me if I want to relocate to the hospitel right next to the hospital building. Since my symptom is relatively stable, plus my lung is COVID-free, I then am allowed to move further away from doctor’s and nurse’s hands. I just need to stay in until the time is met. I wasn’t sure about moving in the first place, but once I know the rate is cheaper, I decided to ring the nurse right away. So I did move right after lunch. The doctor prescribed me with the same medication, informing that I should take them until I run out of dose. And I guess that would be it. I’m almost half way done with this shit.
The Chiva hotel, which is the building right next, is quite a disappointment. The room is dimmer with less space and older facilities. I got 407 for the room number. The curtain can’t even be open as they cover it with plastic. The only bigger thing is the bed. According to the staff, from now on I will not be able to choose my daily meal anymore. I guess I’ll just eat what provides then. The dinner for today was still my order from yesterday. It was my last meal based on my desire. Beef Stronganoff with Fettucinne, though a bit salty, was finished. This could be the first and the last time that I finish the whole box set of food. I have been eating a lot today actually. The food today has been delicious, from my Salmon wonton as breakfast to pumpkin soup and steam fish for lunch, I could say it was a sound farewell to my luxurious, fulfilling life at TCH building.
Of course, there is a guideline for staying here. In the general practices paper, it says there will be no cleaning during my stay. The food will be served three times daily. And the garbage will be collected everyday at 6 PM. You are not allowed to be visited or order food from outside by yourself. However, you can order food from Bangkok Plaza, which is by the hotel service. They have options like 7–11, Burger King, Sizzler to go, The coffee club, Fuji, Black Canyon, Al Saray, and etc. I swear to God I won’t pay extra Baht for this. Let’s see what they bring me tomorrow. But whatever it is, I think I can eat it. No problem for me.
Tomorrow is Monday already. The environment in this room is not for work at all. Let’s see how it goes for tomorrow.
